Dear wedding photographers and videographers,

We’re excited to announce a new feature at WeddingWise.co.nz aimed to give our brides and grooms some great photo inspiration and give extra exposure to all the talented NZ photographers and videographers listed on our site.

Starting soon we will be regularly publishing photo inspiration features on our blog, and we want you to be part of it!

We plan to create a regular series of blog posts, as often as once per week, that showcase the inspiring work you professionals create every day for brides and grooms across the country. Each article will feature the work of one photographer who we’ve found to be especially impressive, showcasing a series of images (or a video) of one of their recent wedding events.

Do you want your work featured, driving extra traffic to your WeddingWise profile, for free?

All you have to do is submit your photos to us, along with some introductory text and a brief bio. Each week we’ll pick a submission to publish on our blog. We’ll try to keep as much variety as possible and showcase a number of different photographers, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be featured multiple times. Whenever you have any work you’re particularly proud of, send it our way and we’ll consider it for our next feature.

Photographers, here are the details you’ll need to know about submissions:

• Submit 5-10 photos from a recent wedding or engagement shoot (within the last year)
• Photos must be saved for the web (compressed at 70% or 80%) as JPG files with a width of exactly 496px
• Please name the photos in this format: yourname-date-number.jpg
• Include a written introduction to your photos that discusses:
  • Where the wedding took place
  • Who the bride and groom are (if they give you permission to share that info)
  • What you liked about the shots and what you found challenging
  • Any other aspects of their wedding that you found particularly beautiful or inspiring
• You may include short caption for each photo (optional)
• Please include a short bio (a few sentences) about yourself to conclude the article. We will link your name in the bio to your WeddingWise profile page.
• Send submissions via email to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) with the subject line “Wedding Photo Inspiration”
• You may submit photos for consideration as often as you like.
• We will publish one feature per week but we make no guarantees about who will be published – that is up to the discretion of the WeddingWise editors

Videographers,

Please follow the same guidelines but submit one demo video instead of photos. The video must be hosted with a service like YouTube or Vimeo so we can embed it with their supplied embed code. Please limit videos to a few minutes.

We’re really excited to give you a new channel to share your photos with potential new customers, as well as a resource for brides and grooms to browse inspirational work. We hope this ongoing blog series will become a strong feature of our site as we continue to grow and we hope you’ll become a regularly contributing part of it.
