This is the fifth part of a new ongoing series of photo and video inspiration posts featuring real kiwi weddings beautifully captured by our talented local photographers.

Couple: Anna & Mitchell
Location: Auckland City Centre
Date: April 17, 2010
Photographer: Kate Robinson

This amazing couple are actually from Hamilton but they love to head up to Auckland regularly to soak up it’s lifestyle. For their Engagement Photo Shoot they had the idea to take the photos in the busy streets of central Auckland with the hustle bustle of city life passing through. I was a bit nervous about the location at first, as I didn’t know how the people around us would react. A few people avoided walking past Anna & Mitchell, but mostly they didn’t even notice we were there, which was great to get lots of movement in the shots. We used balloons as a fun prop which contrasted perfectly to the urban environment.

Having an Engagement shoot it not something that every couple considers, but it can be a great opportunity to connect with your photographer, have photos somewhere completely different from your wedding day, and even use the Engagement photos at your wedding or in your invitations.

This Engagement Photo Shoot was exceptionally fun, quirky, and different which summed up Anna & Michell’s relationship perfectly.

Thanks Kate Robinson for the beautiful submission. We’ll feature a new wedding again next week! Photographers, if you want to be featured please see more info here.
