Finding a photographer was probably one of the hardest things to organise for our Wedding - our photos will live on FOREVER. Steph was perfect for us - relaxed and fun to work with, and also “invisible” when it counted. We’ve been to a number of Weddings where the photographer just seems to be in the way; but we forgot Steph was there and I think our guests did too given the beautiful and natural photos we have of not only us, but also all of our guests.

One of the things that makes Steph’s photos so perfect is that she obviously loves what she does. Despite a long drive and little sleep prior to our Wedding Steph was enthusiastic and there to catch our day up to our first dance (and a little beyond) despite us running behind schedule! She was also flexible, and instead of our Engagement Shoot - was there with us at our post-Wedding brunch to capture more of what was a wonderful weekend rather than just a wonderful day.

Like many husbands to be, I was never one for even the idea of a wedding videographer – the sheer concept for me was a roaming uncle with a handheld camcorder, which I humorously still thought would be suffice to get the job done.

At the behest of my wife, I watched other couple’s videos by Bubblerock and sure - they looked really quite good. But in my mind at least, scepticism still arose over the true necessity, and let’s be honest, the price tag associated. I was after the nuts and bolts of Bubblerock’s implied value, which of course could never be achieved hypothetically. Despite my initial apprehension however, they still miraculously became booked in for ‘The Big Day’.

The wedding came, and this value I was searching for became distinctly ubiquitous in amidst the wonderful chaos that becomes of your wedding. Steph and Robin unwittingly become your companions throughout the day, which really clues you in to the subtle nuances of their craft. They’re not there, but you’re acutely aware of their presence - guiding you along the way to your worthy moments. There is a particular skill-set involved here, on a social and circumstantial scale that I imagine would be very difficult to teach. But capturing the essence of a couple into film and editing, I don’t think can be taught at all.

As Aldous Huxley said:  “There is the unknown and the known, and in between are the doors of perception.” After the experience with Bubblerock, my incredulous perception was convincingly replaced with the absolute and undeniable value that is encapsulated within professional wedding videography. This is not only credit to Steph and Robin’s work at my particular wedding, but of the art as it stands overall. The final product was always going to be amazing, but it’s the intangibles that really set these guys apart. You get for what you pay for in this life, monetary or otherwise, and Bubblerock proved absolutely invaluable.

I don’t even know where to start with BubbleRock they are truly the best in the business. You don’t need to look any further for a videoographer you have found them - book them now!!

BubbleRock didn’t disappoint with the series of videos they have delivered to us. The wedding day flies by for the bride and groom and what was so special was how Bubblerock captured all aspects of the day. They don’t miss key moments, (walking down the aisle, the first kiss etc) but they also have the amazing ability to capture what else was going on around us. We saw our guests having a great time, reaction to speeches & dance floor moves we wouldn’t have seen otherwise and it was all edited so seamlessly.

It is just so special to have the speeches & ceremony all on film to watch and listen to over again.

What I loved most about our video was their ability to edit the video and not loose the essence of the day. It was a true reflection of us as a couple but also the fun celebration which our wedding day was

If friends ask me now what are some key musts to have on your wedding day, I easily say a videoorgapher along with a still photographer, watching the day on film is really quite something else.,
What also makes BubbleRock so great are the people Steph and Robin, they are such fun people to have around while you’re getting ready and through out the rest of the day without being in your face.

Having looked through lots of online portfolios, we had a clear idea of what we did and didn’t like.  Choosing Bubblerock was the easy part.

The duo that are Bubblerock simply are amazing. These two literally become part of your wedding, you don’t even know they are there.

They know what works but also like to push boundaries and try new things. The end result showed us just how talented Steph & Robin are.  Light filled, natural, fun, loving photos that reflect who we are.

If our budget had of stretched to include video, I would of jumped at the chance.

How do I even begin? Hiring Bubblerock was the best decision we made in regard to our wedding. If you are thinking of having a videographer at your wedding, stop thinking and just hire Bubblerock! It will be the best and smartest decision you ever make!

We talked to a lot of wedding videographers before finding Bubblerock. There were so many that just felt “blah.” I saw a lot of sample videos that showed some classical music playing while a couple smiled and a bride’s veil flew in the breeze…. They were in all honesty so boring, and didn’t show anything about the couple they were focused on. Finding Bubblerock got us excited about hiring videographer. Just by watching their work we knew they would be perfect for us!

I first talked to Steph via email about a year out from our wedding and immediately I loved her! Her passion was evident in every email and she was so friendly and helpful. She replied to all emails and enquiries immediately, which as a bride, is actually very very important! She was full of helpful suggestions and shared so much of herself with me which was just wonderful and made me feel instantly at ease and connected with her.

She wanted to meet us before the big day and so we met for breakfast. My husband and I loved her even more from that moment, if that was possible! She was completely on the same page as us but still wanted to get to know us better as a couple so her and her husband Robin could do the best possible work for us…. How many vendors bother doing that?

We’re from Auckland but our wedding was held in Paihia so Steph and Robin made the three and a half hour drive up for us and did absolutely everything to ensure they had the best record of our day. They came up the day before to film our ceremony rehearsal and stayed until the day after the wedding.

They were absolutely incredible. Quite simply, we were in awe of their work ethic. They worked constantly and passionately the entire time. On the day they were there from (the very early) start to finish. I don’t know how they did it! Both my husband and I were so nervous about being filmed but all our nerves just melted away the minute they started. They immediately connected and engaged with our whole wedding party, as well as our family and friends and we all felt incredibly comfortable. Any potential new clients reading this: trust me when I say this, after the first minute, you will completely forget that they are filming and any awkwardness you may feel will melt away! That is completely due to their lovely personalities and style – I don’t believe anyone could make you feel as relaxed as Steph and Robin can! They are so friendly and although they are filming the most important and most emotional day of your life, they just felt totally unobtrusive!

They had planned and worked so hard to ensure that not a moment was lost. Everything that we wanted was filmed, and more. We were amazed at all the details they recorded, from beautiful scenic shots, to all our details, to lovely emotional moments between us, to gorgeous shots of our family and friends (which includes our animals!) Because they cared about us and their work so much, they managed to capture the true essence of the day.

Steph and Robin were also fantastic at working with our photographers, Dillon Photography. They were wonderful at getting all the great film they needed but also hanging back at times so Dillon could get what they needed too. They are true professionals and understand just how important the day is for everybody.

Our film is the greatest memory we have of our wedding. It captures so much of who we are and what we live for. I have had dozens and dozens of comments from people about how it is the most beautiful wedding video they have ever seen and how everyone cries the whole way through it! As our film is public, we have gotten these comments from complete strangers too! The music and the editing is just phenomenal and it couldn’t be better. Before Bubblerock, we would have never believed a film could capture who we are and how much we love each other, but we have been so thrilled to be proven completely wrong!

We are just blown away by our film. Thank you so much Steph and Robin. You captured us perfectly. Our beloved beach, our venue and all of our details and work, our gorgeous family and friends, our wonderful furbabies, our values, and most importantly, our love. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! We are totally overjoyed and we are so thrilled to have made friends for life in you. I wish we could better express how happy and how grateful we are. Our wedding film is a true gift and we feel so very blessed. We just love you!

I asked a friend what she would have done differently on her wedding day and she said get a proper videographer. From that point I starting looking for someone who could make a film of our wedding that wasn’t too cheesy. As soon as I saw the work of bubblerock i was sold and decided to book them in. My groom was a little hesitant as did not like to idea of being on film and thought it would make him feel uncomfortable but i managed to convince him and we are now both very glad I did.
Steph and Robin were both wonderful to work with and made us feel very comfortable and encouraged us to just do our thing and be natural. It was so nice to get the trailer soon after our wedding as it allowed us to get excited about our wedding day all over again and stopped us getting impatient waiting for the short film to arrive. We are really happy with the creativity and quality put into the films of our wedding and would like to say thankyou once again to the bubblerock team for giving us this amazing memory that will last a lifetime.

If you ever want to relive the best day of your married life then you must capture it not only with still photography but on Film as well….and most definitely with bubblerock!! 

We will never regret the decision to capture our day on film and are greatful to Steph and her great team of Katja, Travis and Jolyon whom all helped our day be that more special with their talents.  From those candid “ninja” shots to the most breathtaking and dramatic ones…we love looking at those shots over and over again…and the trailer which gets us teary each time to the short film, we are so grateful that our day was captured so beautifully.

A year out from planning our wedding I thought a videographer was a needless expense. Then saw some footage from an upcoming part time photographer/videographer Steph. I was referred to Steph via a old friend, and although in the planning process my then fiancé was never on board with the need for a wedding video, I was so excited to watch all the videos Steph produced during the course of the year leading up to our wedding as Steph became full time. We had 4 photo/videographers in total on the day, and Steph and Robin made it so easy. I’m amazed they could capture so many small moments, when I never even knew they were there. Steph produced our teaser trailer within days of our wedding adding to the wedding weekend hype.  From that point onward my husband fell in love with the video and to my surprise couldn’t stop talking about it.  Steph’s talent was able to turn the biggest sceptic. We loved our Bubblerock experience, and can’t wait to work with them again at two of my own bridesmaids weddings in 2014!

Where do I begin?

I was a long admirer of Bubblerock’s work, long before I was even engaged. When it came time to start wedding planning I knew in my heart that I wanted them to be a part of the day, but was weary of what our wedding budget would allow. We met with Steph & Robin on our short trip back to NZ (we were planning from Sydney!), and our minds were pretty much made up on the spot.

They were both professional, and so passionate about what they do that we both felt we would be in capable hands for our big day.

Unfortunately, we weren’t able to have Steph and Robin film us on the day, and whilst most brides would have a heart attack having this blip in their wedding plans, I really didn’t even have a bad heart flutter. This was because Steph enlisted the help of 2 fellow professionals whom she believed to be their best replacements. Boy was she right! Travis & Jolyon were AMAZING, the friendliest blokes running around us and capturing our moments perfectly.

Steph still did the master editing of our films and I have watched them over and over and over. It was so beautiful. They really captured our personalities and happiness of the day. Totally made me teary and even made my husband teary ... and that’s truly saying something! We have also had family and friends positively comment on the creativity of their films.

I do not regret the decision to have Bubblerock help us AT ALL. In fact I have developed a friendship with Steph and would highly recommend Bubblerock service to anyone needing to make the decision to make their wedding day truly memorable.

We got married in France last summer and were lucky to have the Bubblerock duo as our photographers for our special day. Not only do they deliver incredibly gorgeous photos, they are unbelievably kind, generous, relaxed, and talented professinals and people.

We were a little nervous to be photographed, we usually don’t like seeing ourselves in pictures. But Steph and Robin made us feel at ease and gave us directions when needed. They are also very good at what they do and are capable of bringing out the beauty in everyone and everything. We now have lots of amazing pictures of us, which we love to look at!

Steph and Robin are the best - no question.

From the very beginning, answering all of our questions from afar (we live in London), to our first meeting at their place over wine and cheese, to the day itself they were outstanding.

We never felt a moment’s hesitation in going with them and they looked after us all of the way through.  With everything that you have to worry about when planning and executing a wedding, knowing that you have such great professionals behind the cameras is priceless.

We had our sneak-peek on day one of our honeymoon and could not have been more delighted.  Steph’s ability to take the footage and turn it into something truly special is unbelievable.

If we thought the sneak-peek was good, it was nothing compared to the full video.  We could not have wished for a better way to remember the day by.  Every time we look at it (probably a little too often!) it brings tears to the eyes.  It is that good.

We could not recommend Bubblerock more highly.  You’ll only regret it if you don’t use them.

PS.  We also used some of the old Super 8 cameras for footage.  If you grew up in the 70s or 80s you’ll remember them.  They added something really special and we’d highly recommend.

A videographer was definitely a stretch for our budget, and something that I kept at the back of my mind throughout the entire planning process. Finally, it came time where we had to make a decision, and we just didn’t want to look back and wish we had done it. We took a chance on BubbleRock with a referral from our wedding planners. Our planners had not ever worked with Steph and Robin on a wedding, but had done other projects together, so it was out on a limb for us.

Steph and Robin came all the way to San Diego to film our special day. We hit it off straight away. They are both so much fun and were wonderful to work with. We knew from their other videos that ours would be great, but when we finally saw it we were blown away. Somehow from just a few emails and knowing us for only a few hours they really captured the essence of our day. Our video will be a great way to truly remember the range of emotions we felt that day. I’m so glad we didn’t forgo a videographer and I truly would recommend BubbleRock to any couple!

We used bubblerock for our wedding and are very thankful we did. At first i thought ill just get some random cheap video package off the web. But after we seen their trailers we decided to go with bubblerock.

The day was so easy and they were never in the way..they worked beautifully with my videographer. It was perfect. When i received my trailer i cried! It definitely captured the moment beautifully. Half year on, watching the film still gives me butterfly in the tummy.

Ill totally recommend investing in videographer for ur wedding as it just speaks so much louder than photos!!!

If ever anyone asks me for advice on wedding planning, I always say “get a video.” and then straight after that I say “use BubbleRock”. Truly, it was one of the best and easiest decisions we made. Their work spoke for itself - unique, beautiful and unlike anything we had seen from other vendors - and believe me, we had TRAWLED through vendors. What was initially an afterthought and nearly didn’t make it into our budget has become one of our most treasured mementos of our wedding day. Steph and Robin were so professional yet fabulous company throughout the day. My husband had dreaded the thought of being on video camera yet Steph and Robin are so unobtrusive and lovely he forgot to be paranoid and got on with the business of having a great day.

Everyone we have shown the video to has remarked at how they wish they had the same - from the music selection, to the beautiful cinematography and editing, their work is just stunning. They deserve all the credit given to them and more.

Brides and grooms to be - don’t think twice about getting a video and choosing Bubblerock to capture it. Believe me, you will be glad you did. Their talent is worth every cent.

Most of all, we are lucky to count Steph and Robin amongst our circle of friends as a result of meeting them through our wedding.

Daniel and I love looking at our photos as they retell the day perfectly. Our wedding party had heaps of fun and everyone felt at ease infront of the camera.  I could go on and on but Steph and robin work so well together and produce fantastic work.

Everything Steph and Robin touch turns to gold. They have a serious gift and talent for breathing life into the weddings they capture on film. I’ve been in love with their work from the first time I saw it. We had a destination wedding in Cabo, Mexico and although having videography for our wedding wasn’t originally in our plans (or budget), we couldn’t be more thrilled about our decision to have Steph and Robin there to capture our entire wedding weekend events.  We’ve received countless comments from family and friends who attended, from those who couldn’t make it, and even from people who’ve never met us and everyone is blow away by the emotion and love they feel pouring out of their screens when watching…often bringing them to tears (and yes - that includes the strangers!!).  We all agree that Bubblerock didn’t miss a beat that weekend capturing all our special moments and has given us an incredible gift of our wedding day memories in motion.

We organised our March 2011 wedding on Waiheke from London. The decision to have a video taken of the day was a last minute one and without a doubt one of the best we made.

As we only got in contact with Steph & Robin a week before the actual day we didn’t have a chance to discuss arrangements in person, but every email was answered promptly and in detail, so we felt at ease immediately.

On the day of the wedding Steph & Robin exceeded all our expectations. Not only did they turn out to be the loveliest people you could wish to meet, they also were so wonderful to have around. They worked brilliantly with our photographer (Jo Wickham - also fab!) and every other vendor involved in making our day special. Every detail of the day was captured effortlessly.

Our biggest concern was that we would be nervous in front of the camera, but for the most part we did not even notice Steph & Robin filming and when we did, we just had fun with them and they managed to make us feel like stars.

Both Steph & Robin were with us from the time of getting ready to the first dance and by the end of the day they felt like friends.

As for the result - WOW! Steph & Robin shot wonderful pictures, but even more importantly they managed to capture the essence of the day. They created something truly special and the choices they made in editing the film - from the inclusion of the Super 8 to the choice of music - were perfect. We watch the film regularly and we are transported back to our wedding and the wonderful emotions of the occasion every single time. There work has been invaluable in making friends and family who where not able to come to NZ for the wedding feel part of the experience. We can’t thank Steph & Robin enough for this.

To sum it up - BOOK THEM - you will not regret it.

I was so fortunate to find Bubblerock when researching for vidoegraphers for our wedding. When I saw Steph and Robins work on their website I was so impressed….their work looked AMAZING!So I was super excited that they would be capturing the memories for us.

In the lead up to the wedding, I met with Steph a few times to discuss plans etc. She was always so friendly and soooooo excited about working with us on the big day! When our wedding day finally arrived, Steph was with us for the duration! She was so much fun and worked with our photographer like the two of them had been working together for years (but they only met that day!). As nervous as I thought I might be with a video camera around…I didn’t even seem to notice Steph filming! She worked so efforlessly to capture every hearfelt moment for us.

After our wedding we disappeared on our Honeymoon. I was really keen to re-live memories of the wedding as soon as possible, so I was so excited to get an email from Steph within a few days with a glimpse of our film. What can I say, I couldn’t stop watching it! The music, the super 8 film snippets, the way in which the emotion was captured was truly unbelievable…and I’m not just saying that!

Steph and Robin created something truly magical for us to watch over..and over again through the years to come. Many friends and family have seen the film and can’t believe how truly beautifully they captured the day for us… I absolutely 10000% recommend them if you want something truly special created for you.
