From soft background tunes (Crowded House, Coldplay, U2) through to energetic rockers to get the crowd on their feet (Blister in the sun, Sweet Home Alabama, Brown Eyed Girl, Mr Brightside), Dragonfly band play the songs everyone loves.
They’ve played for the All Blacks in Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin (Lions Tour 2005). They’ve played on the top of snow capped mountains (Treble Cone 2004).
Dragonfly band are “The Waiheke wedding band” that everyone is talking about. They have supplied entertainment at Mudbrick, The Estate, Cable Bay and Stony Ridge. They offer an incredible “Waiheke Island package” which includes fantastic wedding entertainment at your reception, top notch sound and lighting equipment that won’t be too loud for Waiheke venues (which are often limited to sound restrictions), and all their travel expenses.

You guys absolutely rocked and took our wedding entertainment to another level. Everyone loved you guys and we have had so many comments about how good you guys are, and how they can get hold of you for future events. In fact I understand you will be in Pauanui late in May at my groomsmans wedding so we’ll see you again there for another great night I’m sure.
You guys were willing to adapt, willing to learn new songs, and basically ready to do whatever was asked for to fit in with our plans.
Thank you for making our wedding day rock. Many of our guests commented that it was the best wedding they had been to - full credit to you guys for making that happen.

I didn’t have too many requirements for a wedding band. I simply wanted good musicians playing fun, contemporary music. Dragonfly delivered beyond my expectations.
All of the guests commented that the music was great, and even though we had only a few people left by the end of the reception, Dragonfly kept everyone dancing and enjoying themselves the whole time. They were able to play a mix of contemporary and classics, upbeat and mellow. The playlist was perfect.
I have to say they were extremely flexible! They had no problems travelling to and from Waiheke Island (at our expense of course), fitting in with our schedule, setting up in a cramped location, having only mashed potatoes for lunch, and best of all learning a new song just for our first dance!
These guys were very easy to deal with, communicated well, and simply sounded awesome. Exactly what I wanted. I’d recommend Dragonfly to anyone! I can’t imagine a better wedding band.
