We planned our wedding over a year from Australia. I found Rita online and felt instantly she was exactly what we were looking for. Her correspondence was wonderful (very patient with me ).
She was very supportive, helpful and positive throughout the months of emailing. Rita wrote our ceremony to be exactly what we wanted.
When we finally met Rita, she was so friendly and reassuring. Rita helped us with a run through of the ‘Big Day’.
On our Wedding day Rita was wonderful! We were married in a park and Rita was loud and clear and everyone was able to hear.

Rita was the only celebrant we saw. She is very friendly and has so many ideas to help with your big day. She come out to our venue to do a rehearsal which was very out of her way, but made it much easier on the day. She suggested to us a ‘Sand Ceremony’. Everybody thought it was beautiful. Organizing a wedding can be exhausting.  Imagine organizing one in a country on which you have never set your foot! 

My wife is a Kiwi but I had never been to New Zealand until 3 days before the wedding.

We had the honour to have Rita as celebrant.

I found her contact info on an Internet directory.  I sent my inquiry to a few celebrants on the directory, and Rita was the first to reply.

After a few email exchanges and a few phone conversations, I felt very comfortable working with Rita.  She is a very good listener who would patiently listen to our situation and stories (and rants).

She is very knowledgeable and helpful.  She explained all the procedures in great details, and gave us some very helpful advices (ie: how to order a licence ahead of time and pick it up upon arrival, etc).

Since my then-fiancee, her family, my family and myself all locate in different parts in the world with significant time zone difference, often time it would take a while before we could reach a consensus decision.  It took us a while to finalize our date and venue, but Rita was very flexible and accommodating.

Our ceremony was simple, smooth and sweet—exactly the way we wanted it.

I would strongly recommend her service to anyone looking for a celebrant.

Rita was our wedding celebrant and on first meeting, I found her to be a good listener. She also had a very calm manner, a clear spoken voice and gave advice on our legal marraige requirements. She sent me many emails of various styles of weddings she had performed, as we didn’t live in Christchurch, where we had planned to marry. We travelled from Dunedin, to celebrate our wedding together with our closest family members. We had 45 adults including children. We got married outside on a beautiful sunny afternoon on my brother’s lovely property with spring trees budding around us. The reception followed in a gorgeous silk lined marquee with fairy lights throughout the ceiling & walls with lots of coloured up lights. We had so many candles through the garden & tall fairy light twigs on reception tables. It was a colourful fairy light wonderland! Rita was willing to work in also with a practice run through the day before together with our wedding party. (A couple of our wedding party were travelling to be with us from Melbourne.) This made it all run smoothly on the day, with a beautiful and intimate ceremony which was personalised to us. We had a gorgeous string quartet play while I walked down the aisle, who also performed right after the ceremony while guests enjoyed nibbles & drinks. We had lots of lovely comments about our marraige ceremony - and the rest of the evening. Thank you Rita for all you did to make it successful!
