Velveteen are very diverse and can play everything from ballads to rock, from the sixties to present day charts.  They do not use sequencing or backing tracks & have all our own equipment.

Avail to play in hotels, bars, cafes, restaurants, or at weddings, anniversaries, functions or other special occasions you may have

History:

Paul Cassidy - Guitarist, Vocalist, Songwriter

  • University competition bands
  • Weddings (solo/duo)
  • Rhythm/Lead guitar in “Outhouse” classic rock covers band based in London

Kirsty Singleton - Vocalist

  • Vocalist for “Brett’s New Internationals” a 1920’s thirteen piece dance orchestra.  Regular gigs at The Masonic Tavern Devonport, private functions, annual art deco weekend in Napier, balls, dances, festivals (5 years - current)
  • Wedding/Funeral singer (8 years)
  • Auckland City Theatre Academy (A.C.T.A) singing, dancing, drama tuition (3 years)
  • Private singing tuition with Louise Molloy - classical, contemporary (3 years)
  • Vocalist for “Accent” -  vocal/keyboard duo (2 years)
